2026 Amgen Scholars North America Symposium
Celebrating 20 years of the Amgen Scholars Program, the annual Amgen Scholars North America Symposium brought together all fifteen cohorts from the U.S. and Canada at The Rubenstein Treehouse, Harvard University, for two days of networking, participating in discussions about the summer’s research experiences, and hearing from experts in biotechnology field in academia, Amgen scientists, and Amgen Scholars alumni. Keynote speakers included Dr. Aaron Meyer, Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Graduate Student Affairs, Department of Bioengineering, UCLA (and Amgen Scholar class of 2007); Dr. Giles Yeo, MBE, Professor of Molecular Neuroendocrinology in the Medical Research Council Metabolic Diseases Unit and Scientific Director of the Genomics/Transcriptomics Core at the University of Cambridge; and Dr. Shannon Turley, Vice President, Research and Co-head of Research Biology, Amgen Inc.
